New Seth-Meyer.com

September 15, 2009

Ah, yes, now that the road season is winding down, thesis season gets into full-swing. Translation: less blogging, simpler seth-meyer.com. I’ll still be tweeting music, coffee, cycling, school, and all-around ridiculousness though. But, for now, goodbye blogging!

Just the Primary Lit

Oh god, do I really want to keep doing this to myself, or should I just drop out now?

Wednesday Worlds #3

July 15, 2009

Hmm. Right, I don’t know what to say. Is it that I’ve been frustrated, never coming on to form as quickly thanks to breaking ribs in April? Or do I think about my thesis too much while I race? Lately, whenever the pace has gotten hot, I haven’t been the least bit empowered, instead wondering when we can slow down again. Maybe it’s almost time to close up the ‘09 book. Sit back for a while and wait for the racing bug to come back. These days I’m only going to stuff because I’m pre-reged for it…if that.

On top of all that, this has been quite an expensive year. I took out the training bike with the training wheelset tonight (god forbid this season gets any more expensive with a stupid crash on Wednesday!), and of course we discover my front wheel going bat crazy through the turns (wobbly cone or bearings or something?). Not much love from the equipment! Anyway, Ben Raby was there though which was cool as hell because I remember idolizing him back when I was learning to ride with Terry Beenken in Minnesota. Then, I just knew Ben as “the super skinny climber dude who could still lap the field in flat crits”. Well, actually, I think that’s still how I know him! ;)

GRE Vocabulary

Ugh. At least, cycling-wise, when you don’t feel well physically, you’re not supposed to ride. But the grad student in me still needs to study. Kill me now.

One More Time

June 29, 2009

GRE, part deux this afternoon. Will karma spoil my greed to improve only one section and take the other two down with it? Maybe this is a bad idea…
